La Clef des Vignes, in the Hamlet of Cels, South of the commune of Parnac, is situated at the heart of one of the oldest vineyards in France. The Cahors vineyards are world renowed for the history and prestige of their wines. Malbec is the principal grape associated with the AOC Cahors wine, producing red, rose and white. Wine from the vineyard is available Under the Cotes d’Olt label, whose cellars are just a short walk away. Wine tastings and sales are also available at many of the local vineyards.
There are other attrations in the Lot region, including the Pech-Merle grottoes, the gorge at Padirac, the picturesque villages of St.Cirq La Popie and Rocamadour, the Regional Nature Park of the Causses de Quercy, the wildlife park at Gramat, the Champillion museum at Figeac and lots more.
