A paradise for artists! This medieval village overlooks the Lot and is classed a “favourite village” by the French.
The village is situated 18 miles to the east of Cahors in the heart of the Natural Regional Parc of the Causses du Quercy.
Craftsmen and artists opened their workshops for visits in medieval times. Anne Turiais, an artist, was inspired by the serenity of the village, just like André Breton, his friends Man Ray and Max Ernst. At the Rignault museum, you can admire the exhibitions of contemporary art.
